THE IMPORTANCE OF CIVIC EDUCATION FOR INDONESIAN STUDENT



Civic Education is a compulsory subject in exploring the world of education, not only at the level of primary education, but the subject is used in education and senior high school junior high school too, and sometimes the subjects are all around us and will surely need every human being. When we went to college, perhaps we will get this lesson, as well as me.
Every citizen and his government certainly wants his country forward, then there must be a commitment to comply with all applicable laws in Indonesia, and to be obedient, then we should know all the rules. With subjects ranging from the Civic Education Sd-Sma or school that we can know and understand all the rules, rights and our responsibilities as citizens of Indonesia.
Civic education teaches indonesian students to know the basic rules of citizenship and this is the right and duty as a citizen is very relevant. Civic education is one of the media to teach politics to the indonesian students. Indonesian students are introduced to the political system without having to be directly involved in practical politics.
Civic education on indonesian students' knowledge of the rules that bind the country so that indonesian students can live in the applicable law. Civic Education is a means to foster a sense of patriotism in every student. Therefore we can know the importance of education for the indonesian students in Indonesian citizenship.
With civic education we can know the obligations inherent in every citizen, inter alia, the obligation to pay taxes as the primary contract between states and citizens, defend the homeland, defending national defense and security, respect for the rights of others and comply with the prohibitions set forth in the regulations, and so on.
The main principle in determining the rights and obligations of citizens is the direct involvement of citizens or representatives in each formulation and obligations that citizens are aware and assume the rights and obligations as part of the deal that they made themselves.
But now indonesian students are generally just simply knowing and memorizing the articles of the 1945 Constitution and other articles, without a deep understanding that can then be used in everyday life. Though Civic Education is quite important for us.
In civic education, we can find the characteristic of Indonesian society is a reflection of the growth and development of the Indonesian line of all time, way of life, attitudes, problems of life, or life guidance of Indonesia, Republic of Indonesia is a common goal that is implemented in the United National Development for creating a just and equitable society and spiritually prosperous material Pancasila in the Republic of Indonesia's independence.
In the Indonesian context, the rights of citizens have been regulated in the Act of 1945 and other regulations which are the derivation of the general rights outlined in the 1945 Constitution. Among the human rights contained in Article 28 of the Constitution a complete formulation of the second composition.
Civic Education is very important to encourage the next generation of citizenship. This study strongly supports the program of mental and personality to form a mental indonesian students based on Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution.
Developing countries Civic education destination that every citizen is a good citizen (to be a good citizen), ie citizens have the intelligence (Civics inteliegence) both intellectually, emotionally, socially, and spiritually; has a sense of pride and responsibility (responsibility Civics), and able to participate in public life.
The common goal is to educate people to become subjects PKN good citizens, which can be described as "patriotic citizens, tolerant, loyal to the nation and state, religion, democracy, and the right Pancasila".
With the function of the State and people of Indonesia, we can know how important it is to learn civics. Pancasila as the State can they view Pancasila as the Indonesian people for the future. So there is no reason to avoid the subject because of the importance of citizenship in our lives.
Civics provide insight to indonesian students how one becomes a citizen more responsible. Because it can not be inherited citizenship for granted, but must be learned and experienced by each person, let alone our country is heading into a democratic state, then it implies that citizens should be more active and participatory. Therefore, each student must studying it, in order to become the frontline in protecting the country.
Civic Education became subjects after the split of Citizenship or Pancasila and Civic Education. Why join initially on a one? Because the contents of Civic Education itself stem of Pancasila itself. Subsequently split into its own subjects as Civic Education is considered important to teach the students and the
Civic Education material taught citizenship broader and not only sourced directly from the Pancasila. Studying Civic Education for some students is not unlike studying Pancasila stage two, or even not much different from Pancasila Moral Education and History of the Nation. Some of the material is related or the same. That is why many do not like it or do not want to learn Civics. It could be because of boredom or considered unimportant as Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and others. In the end always Civic Education in stepdaughter made in every lesson.
Furthermore, there are things that make a lot of people and especially students are reluctant to learn Civics. When the New Order era Civics are sourced directly from the Pancasila and the Constitution made ​​a tool to take advantage to some parties. Among other functions of studying civic education are: Understanding and mastering the concept of reason and philosophy of Pancasila as the norm, the basis of the state ideology and worldview Indonesia, Literacy constitution and applicable laws in the state of RI, Respect and believe in the moral order of the items contained in Standards and practices over and above things as the behavior of self and life with the attitude of faith and reason.
Civic Education aims to establish the morale of the indonesian students, so that even though they have had a high level of knowledge, they remain awake as good Indonesian citizens. Do not let someone who has a high level of knowledge was lost and going the wrong way, because people are highly knowledgeable, but one way would be very harmful to the surroundings. But if someone highly knowledgeable has a good personality, and a sense of nationhood, that person will be very useful to the nation.
With the presence of successor generations get scholarly high and high national paradigm, of course, Indonesia will be the developed nations. This kind of generation is expected to emerge from the indonesian students who are studying. Therefore, in addition to explore the science that is being occupied, should be given moral guidelines set out in the Civic Education which aimed to provide guidance to indonesian students who will be going to go into the field. Thus, it is absolutely necessary for Civic Education Indonesian students
